The SHF guide held a name sign and waited for us at Kunming airport. With her escort, we transferred to check-in the hotel, we were free for the rest of day.
Second day after breakfast in hotel. The tour guide picked usup in at our hotel's lobby this morning, and then started our exploration of Kunming. Stone Forest was the first stop today. As one of the National Scenic Resort in China, it's a typical karst attraction formed by millions of years movement of Earth. Later headd to the Yuantong Temple. With a history of over 1,200 years, the temple is the largest of its kind in Kunming.
Third day morning we transferred to Dali by air. The local guide meet us at the Dali airport. Transferred to visit the Erhai Lake - a large highland fresh water lake. It measures 40 kilometers north to south, and 7 to 8 kilometers east to west on average. The vast blue lake is filled with crystal-clear waters and dotted with numerous white sails. Then tourd the 1,800 year-old Three Pagodas. As a symbol of the history of Dali City, it witnessed the development of Buddhism in the area.
Forth day morning transferred to Lijiang. After about 3 hours' driving, arrived at the picturesque Lijiang. Upon arrival, enjoyed our lunch and then transferred to check in the hotel. Had a short rest. In late afternoon, visited the Lijiang Ancient City. Located at the foot of the snow-capped Yulong Mountains, the city is called the "soul of Lijiang".
Fifth day after our breakfast in hotel. First had a sightseeing of the mural in the Baisha Village. As a Naxi Minority village in Lijiang, it is especially attractive because of the collection of murals in the village. Painted over a thousand years ago, they combine the cultures of Han, Tibetan and Naxi people displaying the life stories of the Tibet Buddhism, Confucian and Taoism. The unique artistic style and precious historical content of the murals attract visitors from home and abroad. We also visited a local Naxi Family and experienced their unique custom.Then paid a visit to Yuhu Village and Yufeng Temple.
Sixth day in the morning we took a flight back to Kunming. Local guide accompanied us shift flight to Guilin, Guilin tour guide took us to check in hotel by a private vehicle. After that, we had a rest to recover from jetlag or design our own itinerary to explore this city by getting tips or adviced from the guide.
Seventh day we had whole day tour around Guilin. Enjoyed the breathtaking sceneries there. Paid a visit to the symbol of Guilin city - Elephant Trunk Hill, the stone looks like a trunk of an elephant drinking water, so the hill got this name. Later headed to visit the Reed Flute Cave, which is praised as "the art hall created by nature". Inside the cave, there are various stalagmites, stone curtains, stone flowers and stone pillars, which constitute a unique charm. Then paid a visit to Fubo Mountain. Half of the graceful lone peak of the hill is in the river and the other half is on land. On top of the hill we saw an exquisite scenery like a traditional Chinese painting. At the foot of the hill lie the Pearl-Returning Cave, the Thousand-Buddha Cave and the Sword-Testing Rock, all of which have great appeal. After that, we back to hotel and had a good rest.
After breakfast, transferred to Yangshuo. Had a cruise on Li River, getting ourselves refreshed with this incredibly beautiful scenery. After lunch, free time for shopping by ourselves in the town. Then in the evening, we were guided to enjoy the wonderful Yangshuo Impression Show, utilizes the natural surroundings to create a spectacular outdoor theatre which is the largest of its kind. The Li River itself is the stage and twelve mountains serve as the backdrop.
Ninth day we back to Guilin after breakfast.Then we took our flight back.
