Shanghaifocus English-speaking guide held a name sign and waited for us at Hangzhou airport. With her escort, we transferred to Suzhou, a city boasts two national famous things - classic gardens and its silk products. Then we went to Suzhou Industrial Park, picked up our children and saw theirsapartment and campus.
We tour the largest and most renowned classical landscape garden in Suzhou-Humble Administrator's Garden. With well-spaced buildings, the garden landscape and water space are simple, extensive and natural, possessing the traditional appearances of the Ming Dynasty. Then we paied a visit to the Silk Factory and know more about Suzhou's silk production. In the factory, we saw how the silk is produced from the silk worm to the final woven cloth. Later we toured Hanshan Temple, well known because of a poem "A Night Mooring near Maple Bridge" written by Zhang ji in Tang Dynasty (618-907). At last we spent some leisure time along Guanqian Street, Suzhou's most famous pedestrian street - many of the city's most famous historic snack shops sprung up here to satisfy all those hungry shoppers.
We began our exploration of Hangzhou - a paradise on the earth in Chinese proverb. We made a cruise on picturesque West Lake, tasted high-grade tea on Meijiawu Tea Plantation and viewed a poetic scene of "flowers touching the fish and the fish kissing the flowers" at Flower Harbour. After our visitation to the Lingyin Temple and the Peak Flying ,we had a tour along the Hefang Old Street. Also we visited Six Harmonies Pagoda,builted thousand years ago, this 7-side 8-storey pagoda is the best site to get a bird view of Qiantang River.
We arrived foot of Mountain Huangshan. We took the cable car up to the mountain, we found ourselves among the magnificent scenery. We visited Scenic Area of Beihai, enjoyed the view of the Beginning-to-Believe Peak, the Peach Blossom Valley, the Lion Peak, the Flying-over Rock , and etc. We had a overnight stay in hotel on the mountain.
We continued the sightseeing on the Mountain. It is said that every time tourists visit Mt. Huangshan, they will see different scenery. So the view of mountain changed with weather. We got up early to catch the beauty of the sunrise on the Bright Top. After having breakfast serving in hotel, we continued to visit the Grand Canyon of West Sea and then took cable car down to the foot of mountain, and transferred to Shanghai. In the evening,we had a Bund tour, we had an amazing birdview of Shanghai and Huangpu River.
We went on our exploration of Shanghai. City God Temple is the first stop ,later Jade Buddha Temple, an active temple, with 70 resident monks at the last count. After lunch of local dishes, we were guided to visit the largest museum in China – Shanghai Museum and then spent some leisure time in Xintiandi, the trendiest upscale entertainment complex in Shanghai with coffee house, bars and celebrity-owned restaurants. We took flight to Guilin in the evening.
We began our Guilin tour in the seventh day. Boarded the cruise ferry and cruise down the picturesque Li River, we appreciated the fantastic landforms along two banks. We enjoyed lunch on board. The ferry arrives Yangshuo at around 14:00 then we paid a visit to West Street there.the main boulevard of Yangshuo, lined with cafes, boutiques and shops of local handicrafts and specialties.
Morning of the last day tour we got the chance to visit the highlights such as the emble of Guilin - Elephant Trunk Hill, and amazing Karst caves - Reed Flute Caves.
