Foliage Dyeing Workshop

Besides applying blue grass as dyeing material to make the blue calico, the workshop also has a unique process of color printing, which uses various dye-stuffs distilled from natural grass and trees like tealeaves, bark of mulberry tree, and leaves of Chinese tallow tree, therefore is was named Foliage Dyeing Workshop. Blue calico is a traditional hand-made cloth of Wuzhen. Its simple and natural style not only make it the favorite of local residents, but also one of the souvenirs of tourists.
