The local guide will pick you up at your Shanghai hotel/apartment in the morning, the full day sightseeings will not in a hurry. The first destination is Fuzhou Street, which has long been reputed as "cultural street" since a century ago for an increasing concentration of some Well-known book stores, publishing houses and time-honored stationery stores dealing in writing brushes, ink sticks, rice paper, ink stones, etc. Go on to visit Dongtai Road Market, you could easily spend half a day wandering around the stalls of Dong Tai Road. The street is bisected by another smaller street and "antique" stores proliferate all over the small neighborhood. You can find just about anything from baskets to ceramics, Mao memorabilia, lanterns - junk or treasure - it's up to you. And the last stop today is Jiangyin Road which is a typical shopping street in old Shanghai - narrow and not much frequented by cars. This district is apparently also known as a flower and bird market and is much livelier in the summer. You may enjoy the true Shanghai life here. After that, drive you back to the hotel/apartment.

1. Take care of your money and other valuables in case of pickers and stealers.
2. Learn to bargain with the pedlars. Some of them will make a high price when they come across the foreigners.
