Phoenix TV appointed Expo media partner

Hong-Kong-based Phoenix Television has been appointed an official media partner for the 2010 World Expo.
The broadcaster has five television channels - Phoenix Chinese Channel, Phoenix Movies Channel, Phoenix InfoNews Channel, Phoenix North America Chinese Channel and Phoenix Chinese News and Entertainment (CNE) Channel.
Phoenix TV will broadcast promotions and special programs for Expo after signing a cooperation agreement with the organizer yesterday.
Zhong Yanqun, fulltime deputy director of the World Expo 2010 Shanghai Executive Committee, said Phoenix TV has offered long-term support for the promotion of the Expo and helped raise the profile of the event at home and abroad.
Selecting Phoenix TV as a media partner will further boost the event's promotion domestically and internationally, Zhong said.
Liu Changle, the CEO and founder of Phoenix TV, said Phoenix TV will integrate its television, radio, new media and press resources for Expo.
Officials of Phoenix toured the Expo site and learned about the event's progress.
Phoenix programs range from political and economic news and current affairs, talk shows, film and music reviews, movies and mini series from China and abroad. Its TV channels, magazines and Website cover 150-plus countries and regions.
