Time : 2009-07-12
The 2010 World Expo organizer yesterday handed over a 2,000-square-meter national pavilion to the Principality of Monaco, which is the second country to see its rented pavilion completed after the Czech Republic.
Visitors will embark on a voyage of discovery when they step into the pavilion to explore the country's development as well as its cultural and historical heritage.
Zhang Yunjie, special assistant to director-general of Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, said the pavilion will start interior decorating shortly. He expects a brilliant exhibition.
Catherine Fautrier, the commissioner general of the 2010 Expo for the Principality of Monaco, said the pavilion has confirmed its theme "Monaco past, present and future. The challenges of an evolving City-State," and will display the culture and history of the European country.
